The kitchen marks the order as done on the KDS kitchen display or in the order dashboard — that single tap triggers the pickup call. No announcements, no pager base station.
Full-screen call on the phone
The customer's phone instantly shows a full-screen pickup-call screen and receives a Web Push notification. The call screen keeps the screen awake (WakeLock), so an auto-sleeping phone never misses the call.
Customer comes to pick up
The customer walks up to the counter only after being notified. While waiting, they can go shopping or sit in the car — no standing outside the shop staring at a number screen.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will customers still get the notification if they close the web page?
Yes — as long as the customer granted notification permission (Web Push), the system push arrives even with the page closed or the phone locked. Customers who did not grant permission still see the full-screen pickup call when they return to the order page, so nothing is missed.
Do customers need to install an app?
No. The entire flow runs in the browser: scan the QR code to order, track the order, and receive the pickup call — no app installation and no account registration required.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. Safari on iOS 16.4+ supports web push: customers who add the ordering page to their Home Screen can receive push notifications. iPhone users who have not added it still see the full-screen pickup call while they stay on the order page.
Does it work for both dine-in and takeout?
Both. Dine-in customers wait for the call after ordering; takeout customers get notified before coming back — the flow is identical. Combined with scheduled pickup times, customers can even pick a time and collect their order the moment they arrive.
